Cancún International Airport (IATA: CUN, ICAO: MMUN) is located in Cancún, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. The airport is controlled by Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR). The airport ranks as the fourth busiest airport in Latin America and second busiest in Mexico followed by Mexico City International Airport. In 2017, the airport witnessed 6.8% increase in traffic and the number of passenger traffic reached 25,202,016.

Public Transport Connectivity

Bus and shuttle services to and from the airport are available. You may find buses in the parking area near the main building. If you want to explore the city by means of public transportation, the best way is to reach the Cancun bus station. Top attractions like Puerto Morelos have good bus connectivity. Some private firms also operate transfer service to the hotels in Cancún or the Riviera Maya.

Terminals Information

Cancún International Airport has four active terminals as described below.

1. Terminal 1

The terminal features 7 gates (1-7A).  The terminal is mostly used by charter planes.
