Suvarnabhumi Airport (IATA: BKK, ICAO: VTBS), popularly known as Bangkok Airport, is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, Thailand. The other older one is Don Mueang International Airport.

Spread over an area of 3,240 ha (32.4 km2; 8,000 acres), Suvarnabhumi Airport is recognized as one of the largest airports in Southeast Asia. What London Heathrow (LHR) is to Europe, BKK is to Southeast Asia. BKK is hub for aviation providing connectivity to all flights leading to different destinations in the region. The airport serves as the main hub for Thai Airways International, Thai Smile Airways, and Bangkok Airways. It also serves as regional gateway and connecting point for various foreign carriers.

Connectivity to and from BKK is managed by a host of transportation means including the Airport Rail Link (ARL), regional train services operated by SRT (Suburban Commuter Train), bus and car rentals.

Suvarnabhumi Airport has a main terminal spread over 563,000 square metres (6,060,000 sq ft). The terminal ranks as the fourth biggest passenger terminal building in the world after that of the Hong Kong International Airport. The terminal can handle 76 flight operations per hour.
