McCarran International Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS) is the primary commercial airport serving the Las Vegas Valley. Located in Paradise, the airport is 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Downtown Las Vegas and 2 miles from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

The Clark County Department of Aviation governs the airport. It has been named in honor of the late U.S. Senator Pat McCarran, a member of the Democratic Party who made significant contribution to the development of aviation both in Las Vegas and on a national scale.

Public Transport Connectivity

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) provides bus service to and from McCarran International Airport. RTC bus stops are there on Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 for easy boarding and de-boarding. The department also offers RTC Paratransit service on reservation. More than ten taxi companies, regulated by Nevada Taxicab Authority, serve the airport.

McCarran International Airport has two terminal buildings T1 – Terminal 1 & T3 – Terminal 3 featuring 110 aircraft gates. Each terminal building has its own parking garage, ticketing/check-in area, baggage claim, and shopping and dining options.

The Centurion Lounge

The lounge, located at D Gates, is exclusively for American Express Card holders. The lounge offers high quality world-class gourmet food, signature cocktails, and curated wines along with quality entertainment and productive workspaces. Admission is subject to capacity limitations.

The Club at LAS

This is an airport VIP lounge, located at D and E Gates, providing access for all passengers. A day pass is also available at the reception desk. The amenities include free snacks and beverages, including beer, wine & liquor. Newspapers, magazines, TV, free internet and Wi-Fi access are also available.

United Club

Located at D Gates, United Club features amenities including complimentary bar service, light snacks, free Wi-Fi and more.

Additional Facilities, Services and Things to Do

At the D Gates, there is an unsupervised dedicated play area for kids. The aviation-themed area features an interactive mini control tower and mock jet engine. Five art murals designed by students with the Inner City Games add a permanent splash of color. Special assistance is available at the airport. There is a medical clinic, mobility assistance, nursing suites, pet relief area, paratransit services.
